Goblet by Hideki Inoue

One of the elite class of master potters active in Kasama, Hideki Inoue has ceramic lineage stretching to the 19th century.  Immersed in his family tradition of making great ceramic art, Inoue took the atypical path of training for a period in Germany.  One fruit of the years honing his skill, are the rich shades of his self-developed glazes.  The deep spectral gloop of his blues and green travel in gradients or in waves across the forms he makes.  Sometimes described as Japanese modern, he is an apt representative of the creative wealth of Kasama.
